Hello and thank you for taking the time to peek into my little world!
I was born in the UK and grew up in Bexleyheath, Kent where I spent most of my time drawing and making things. My bedroom was littered with artwork and sculptures which were mainly drawn or built directly onto the walls! (I still can’t believe my parents let me get away with it!) After finishing my GCSEs, I went onto study civil engineering before moving onto an art and design course. I finished my further education with a model making HND, which led me into my career as a freelance model maker and special effects artist. Thankfully being freelance gave me the spare time to work on my other projects such as character design, script writing and ideas for animated children’s television shows. In 2011 I jointly started up a successful model making and special effects company Paradigm Effect Ltd. In 2015 I made the decision to leave the company to become a stay at home dad for my 10 month old son. It turns out that running your own business is much easier than looking after a small child! Who knew?! It was this new vocation in life that has inspired me to really focus on my illustrations and story writing. I’m constantly coming up with new ideas for characters and books. I love to work in digital media and flip between Procreate and Photoshop for my illustrative creations and 3ds Max for my CGI work. When I’m not working I can usually be found on some crazy dinosaur themed, time traveling adventure with my wife and son! Then it’s back to work for a rest! |
